EOTC Baking and Hut Building

On Thursday Room 1 made yummy chocolate chip cookies with Mrs Smith ready to share with the Kiwi Team at our Teddy Bears Picnic.

Then on Friday morning we had so much fun building huts out of all the boxes the children brought to school. We were in groups with Room 2 and had free range to create and construct. There were letterboxes, tv sets and even remote controls!

EOTC Gymnastics

Wow! Another busy morning out at Bruce Pulman Park for Gymnastics! What an amazing venue! The children loved every moment of the gymnastics rotation they set up for us. A definite favourite was the foam pit! A great place to develop their confidence with a wide range of movement skills.
Thanks again to our great parent helpers!

On Monday we went to Massey Park Pool in Papakura. The children had a great time floating wearing a life jacket and having fun splashing in the water. Thanks again to our great parent helpers and to Coopers Dad Chris for the great photos of the kids.

Toy Cars

In Room One we have been expanding our our Inquiry of Toys From The Past by planning and making toy cars.
Our first step was to brainstorm all the different parts to a car.
Our second step was to draw a plan of a car we would like to make and add labels.
Then it was time to create our cars- we made one car out of lego and another out of recycled materials.
We then evaluated our cars, thinking about the part we liked the best and what we would do differently next time. We enjoyed showing them to Room 2.
